Floros Flouros is a post-doc researcher at the University of Aegean researcher with main focus on security, energy security and climate change in the Mediterranean and Middle East region. He defended his PhD Thesis at the University of Peloponnese where he researched and studied the areas of Energy Security and National Security under the umbrella of International Political Economy. He holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, as well as MBA, MSc in O&G, MA in Mediterranean studies His research interests include security, national security, energy security and climate change issues in the wider Mediterranean and Middle East region within the Political Economy concept.

He is a senior business advisor with an impressive record in several sectors in EMEA region such as Chemicals/Petrochemicals/Polymers/Energy/Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Consulting. Highly efficient executive with cost reduction techniques throughout the value chain organizations, leading them into the international markets successfully. Senior management experience working in a matrixed management structure with multicultural teams.

He is a member in several organizations and associations such as Hellenic Association of Chemical Engineers, Technical Chamber of Greece, Hellenic Association of Political Scientists, Centre of International and European Political Economy & Governance, Alumni Fellow at NTU/Nottingham Business School, UK.
