Memorandum of Understanding between Neapolis University Pafos and the Architectural Association (AA) for the organisation of the AA Visiting School Cyprus 2026

Neapolis University Pafos signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 17 March 2026 with the Architectural Association, Inc. (AA), for the organisation of the AA Visiting School Cyprus 2026. The international summer architecture workshop will take place at the University’s premises in Pafos from 24 August to 3 September 2026. The MoU was signed by Professor Solon Xenopoulos, Dean of the School of Architecture and Environmental Sciences at Neapolis University Pafos, and Christopher Pierce, Head of AA Visiting School.

The Architectural Association, based in London and founded in 1847, is one of the most recognised architectural institutions internationally. Through its AA Visiting School programme, it organises design workshops each year in different cities, offering intensive learning opportunities to students and early-career professionals.

The selection of Pafos as the host city strengthens the international presence of Neapolis University Pafos and confirms its position in architectural education.

The workshop, titled “Fragments in Equilibrium”, will bring together students and young architects from around the world, under the guidance of AA tutors. The programme combines theoretical research with design practice, focusing on creativity, innovation, and critical thinking in architecture.

This collaboration further strengthens the University’s international engagement and provides its students with direct access to a globally recognised academic programme.
