Dr Eleni Gavriil is Assistant Professor of Human Rights and International Economic Law at the Department of History, Politics and International Studies at Neapolis University Pafos. She holds a PhD from the European Law and Governance School of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and an LL.M. in International and European Business Law from Neapolis University Pafos. She is a lawyer and member of the Athens Bar Association.
Her research interests lie in the fields of International Economic Law, Human Rights Law and European Law, with a particular focus on International Investment Law, the protection of foreign investment, and the relationship between investment law and human rights. She also engages with issues of inclusion, diversity and equality in education, particularly through EU-funded research projects.
Dr Gavriil is Director of the Human Rights Observatory at Neapolis University Pafos, which promotes research and interdisciplinary dialogue on human rights issues.
