Neapolis University Pafos and Leptos Group, in collaboration with JetBrains, are currently hosting this year’s Joint Advanced Student School (JASS) 2023. The annual international initiative focuses on education and software development for students and teachers from all around the world. The event is being held at the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort from March 25 to April 2 2023, providing participants with all the necessary facilities for a successful event.
JASS 2023 is currently focusing on the challenges of upgrading software to autonomous agents in a smart city environment where artificial intelligence technology regulates traffic flow, self-driving cars operate and smart traffic lights adapt accordingly.
The project is using the model city of Duckietown and its actual hardware equipment to provide a hands-on learning experience for the students. They will work in Agile mode for a week in international teams of around seven students, supported by professors from leading universities such as the Technical University of Munich, Imperial College London, and Neapolis University Pafos.
It also includes various activities, such as guest lectures and master classes, providing a comprehensive overview of the continuous evolution of software and cyber-physical systems technologies.
