In the context of the Masters in Landscape Architecture Postgraduate Programme, on Friday 13th October in the 2nd Architecture Studio, Sophia Vyzoviti, Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture – University of Thessaly, delivered a lecture about her recently released book “Microdwelling – Atlas for Architects”.
The book investigates the emergence of social, economic, technological and environmental changes in the domestic realm. Revisiting domesticity in the framework of the minimum, the micro-dwelling claims a prominent place in the formulation of alternative habitation models. Through a curated collection of case studies, minimalist living is exposed in its multiple architectural versions.
The event was coordinated by Associate Professor Julia Georgi, President of the Department of Architecture and Geo-Environmental Sciences. The lecture was attended by students of the Postgraduate Programme in Landscape Architecture, undergraduate students of architecture as well as practicing Architects from Paphos and Limassol. Finally, a constructive discussion followed.
