Memorandum of Cooperation between the Cyprus Department of Lands and Surveys and the Real Estate Department of Neapolis University

May 4, 2018

A Memorandum of Cooperation was singed between the Cyprus Department of Lands and Surveys (DLS) and the Real Estate Department of Neapolis University in Cyprus (NUP) on April 19, 2018.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the Director of the Department of Lands and Surveys Mr. Andreas Socratous and the Director of the NUP Department of Real Estate Prof. Petros Sivitanides.

The signing of the MoC marks the beginning of the cooperation between the two organizations aiming at strengthening the interaction between academia and practice for the benefit of not only the students of the University and the DLS employees but also the broader real estate sector in Cyprus. The cooperation between DLS and NUP will include mainly the exchange of data, information, research and technical expertise; student internships at DLS; attendance of selected lectures at the NUP Department of Real Estate by DLS employees; and joint participation in research/educational programmes funded or co-funded by the European Union or other national/international entities.

During the signing of the MoC, both Mr. Socratous and Dr. Sivitanides expressed their strong belief that the cooperation between DLS and NUP will not only benefit the two organizations but also contribute positively to the upgrading of the Cyprus real estate sector.
