Dr. Julia Georgi, Assoc. Professor, and Head of School of Architecture, Land & Environmental Sciences of Neapolis Universityin Cyprus, participated as an invited lecturer at the 4th International Mediterranean Style Workshop at Milan Polytechnic. Her speech was about the Olympic Reformation Project in Athens and the gained managing and supervising big scale projects. Among the speakers were professors Guya Bertelli and Sara Protasoni from Politecnico Di Milano, Alessandra Caso from University of Sassari.
The 4th International Mediterranean Style Workshop “Architectural Tradition and geographical translation” was held in the city of Piacenza and was organized by Politecnico Di Milano. Head of the organizing committee was Dr. Pasquale Mei. The Workshop was attended by a number of graduate students of Architecture, Planning and Engineering from Italian and other European Universities who worked on specific areas of the Mediterranean and recommended design interventions for these case studies. Also, a number of invited lecturers from various European Universities delivered presentations on the role of landscape design and urbanism to regenerate Mediterranean Cities. The organization of the workshop included introductory communications to the topic, lectures and work in the classroom with tutors. The field of application of the experimental design was the city of Marseille and the island of Ischia.
