Presentation of a Graduate of the Masters of Landscape Architecture Nature-Based Solutions 2017 αs part of the Presidency of the Estonian Republic of the Council of the European Union.
A Graduate of the Masters of Landscape Architecture of Neapolis University in Cyprus Joanna Sophocleous presented a poster, which was part of their Master Thesis, together with Ass. Prof. Julia Georgi, Head of the Department of Architecture, Land and Environmental Sciences at the Nature-Based Solutions 2017, αs part of the Presidency of the Estonian Republic of the Council of the European Union in Tallin, on October the 24th until the 26th of October.
In particular, Joanna Sophocleous, along with her professor, Dr. Julia Georgi presented a poster at the Natural Based Solution 2017 European Conference, titled: The Green Wall analysis: Vertical Gardens Changing our lives: The view from Limassol, Cyprus at Blue and Green Infrastructure which was organized by prof. Tiiu Koff, while a constructive discussion followed.
The Minister of Environment of Estonia, Siim Kiisler, the President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, Tarmo Soomere and the Vice-Rector for Research of Tallinn University Katrin Niglas , welcomed the conference, while the key note speakers were the Deputy Director-General of DG Research and Innovation Patrick Child, the Deputy Director-General of DG Environment Joanna Drake, and the Chairman of the Board of Södra Lena Ek.
