On May 19 the Diocese of Tamassos and Orinis organized in Deftera an event, diverse in content, under the auspices of the Most Reverend Isaias (Kykkotis) and in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Mr Nikos Kouyialis, the Director of Administration and Finance of Neapolis University in Cyprus, Dr Andreas Moleskis, and many academics and others. The event focused mainly on the presentation of an important book written by the Reverend Charalambos Nikolaides, titled ‘Chrysospiliotissa…’ and presented as his dissertation (grade: Excellent) for the Master’s in Theological Studies at Neapolis University in Cyprus. The main speakers of the event were Professor Nikos Zacharopoulos, Professor Chrysanthe Tsioumi and the Archaeologist and Byzantologist Dr Charis Chotzakoglou.
The dissertation brought to light significant historical and archaeological data, while it also emphasized the intrinsic importance of the ecclesiastical and culture heritage of Cyprus.
The Master’s dissertation by the Reverend Charalambos Nikolaides is only a sample of many dissertations written by more than 170 students who attended the Master in Theological Studies, only offered by Neapolis University In Cyprus. The Programme is in the fourth year of its operation.
