A Workshop on “Energy Efficiency in Households and Enterprises – Economic and Environmental Benefits”, was held on December 9, 2013, from the Agios Athanasios Municipality in cooperation with the Europe Direct in Limassol and the Cyprus Energy Agency, at the Town Hall of St. Athanasius. Spokesman were Mr. Kyriakos Hatzittofis, Mayor of St. Athanasius and Dr. Harry Chrysostom, General Manager Europe Direct Limassol.
Mr. Gregory Panayiotou, Representative of Cyprus Energy Agency, held a lecture on “Energy Conservation Measures in Business” followed by Dr. Abraham George, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science at CUT, with a lecture on “Practical ways for saving energy in households.”
The conference was attended by Dr. Julia Georgi, Assoc. Prof. Landscape Architecture at Neapolis University in Cyprus, and mentioned the value of energy-autonomous buildings. The event was also attended by students of Neapolis University in Cyprus how actively participated in the following discussion.
