The Department of Psychology aspires to provide students with the highest quality education and excellence in theory, research and practice.

The Department of Psychology aims to reflect the diversity of psychology as a science and a profession. Students acquire all the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively integrate and contribute to society. Course offerings range from clinical, counselling, social and developmental psychology to experimental psychology, forensic, biopsychology and research methods and statistics, thus, meeting all local and international needs. Courses are taught using modern educational methods and learning technologies.

At the same time, the Department gives emphasis to personal contact between students and faculty members through an extensive advisement system, involvement in departmental activities and committees, supervised field placement, and participation in research laboratories under the guidance of faculty tutors.

Moreover, graduates of the BSc and the MSc in Counselling Psychology have all the necessary qualifications to be registered at the undergraduate level or licensed as a Counselling Psychologist in Cyprus and worldwide.
