The conference “Mass Estimates & the Spatial Dimension of Real Estate” which was co-organized by the Greek Evaluation Institute & the Greek Company of Geographical Information Systems, was successfully completed on April 16, 2016. Cyprus was represented by Varnavas Pasioulis Director of the Assessment Branch of the Department of Land Surveyors of Cyprus and Thomas Dimopoulos, Professor of Neapolis University in Cyprus. Thomas Dimopoulos suggested new techniques for improving the mass estimation results especially on the new recent General Evaluation in Cyprus. Among others, applications were presented on geographically weighted regression and artificial neural networks, for the Municipality of Nicosia which have significantly improved the results of the Department of Lands and Surveys.
