Neapolis University in Cyprus and other Universities in Cyprus are organizing a two-day International Conference in Nicosia, on February 7th and February 8th 2020, in Memory of Aristides Koudounaris, a researcher on Modern Cypriot History and a former President of the Cyprus Society of Historical Studies.
Seventy university professors, history researchers, doctoral candidates and postgraduate students in Modern and Contemporary History will present in sixteen sessions, papers, focused on the period of Colonial Cyprus (1878 – 1960).
Professor Giorgos Georgis, President of the Department of History, Political and International Studies and Director of the Postgraduate Programs on Modern and Contemporary History and Dr Kyriakos Iakovides, Lecturer of the Department of History, Political and International Studies will also participate.
Andreas Christodoulou, PhD candidate in Modern History of Neapolis University, Phoebe Christodoulou, a postgraduate student in History of the Department of History, Political and International Studies and Stalo Constantinou, a recent graduate of the Postgraduate Program in History of Neapolis University and now a PhD candidate of Cyprus University, will also present papers.
