Artemis D. Savvidou, member of the Academic teaching staff of the Law Faculty (Criminal Law) of NEAPOLIS University in Cyprus, a Lawyer with 18 years experience in Criminal Law, attended the 2nd International Conference of Cyprus Police: ” Major Policies in Dealing with Organized Crime and Corruption: European and International Dimensions” which took place in Philoxenia Conference Center in Nicosia on the 22nd and 23rd of June 2017.
The conference addressed by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, the Chief of Cyprus Police, the Auditor General of the Republic, the Attorney General, the Head of the Representation of European Commision in Cyprus and it was attended by academics from Cyprus and abroad, representatives of OLAF, EUROPOL, FBI, the Unit for Combating Money Laundering (MOKAS) and other related organisations.
It is noted that Ms Savvidou, through her specialization in the field of Criminal law, has repeatedly participated in the past with suggestions and speeches to various International and National Conferences on related issues, while many of her articles have been published in American and Greek scientific journals.
On the 1st day of the Conference the aspects of Organized Crime and Corruption have been covered, while on the 2nd day aspects such as Policies and Best Practices in Preventing and Combating Organized Crime and Corruption have been analysed.
