The General Attorney at Neapolis University in Cyprus

The Faculty of Law of the Neapolis University in Cyprus in collaboration with the Bar Association of Paphos organized on May 9, 2014 a lecture on “The institution of the General Attorney of the Republic in Cyprus. Theories and personal experiences” Main speaker was Mr. Kostas Klerides, General Attorney of the republic of Cyprus. The event was addressed by Professor Anthony Manitakis, Head of the Department of Law of Neapolis University in Cyprus and former Minister of Administrative Reform in Greece and Mr. John Papazacharias, President of the Bar Association of Paphos. Mr. Klerides, stated inter alia that it is everybody’s and especially the institution of the General Attorney duty as well as the members of the Legal Service, to defend the independence, impartiality and trust in the institutions of justice. Mr. Manitakis warmly thanked Mr Klerides for accepting the invitation offered by the Law School and assured that the Department of Law of Neapolis University in Cyprus is available to the Attorney General for any legal services that could be useful for the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus. The introduction and coordination was made by Petros Artemis, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Neapolis University in Cyprus and ex. Chief Justice. The lecture wasfollowed by an interesting discussion.
