On May 22, 2015 Neapolis University in Cyprus welcomed Prof. Vladimir Katasonov, a prominent Professor of Philosophy, who studied Mathematics for his BA. The visit came as yet another proof of the close co-operation between Neapolis University in Cyprus and the Moscow Patriarchate. The purpose of the meeting, in which the Rector, Prof. Spyros Makridakis, and representatives of all University Schools and Programmes participated, was to exchange views about the perspectives of developing the current strong link between the two parts.
Professor Katasonov is the author of a large number of publications and is a prominent researcher on the causes of the contemporary problems of humanity. His main thesis is that after the era of ‘pure logic’ there is a strong need to return to the central ideas of Christianity, which promote a culture of high-quality.
