International Mobility

Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport for the period 2021–2027. The programme supports the international mobility of students and staff, strengthening cooperation between universities worldwide and promoting the development of academic, professional and intercultural skills.

Through Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (KA171), Neapolis University Pafos collaborates with universities in partner countries outside the European Union, offering students and staff the opportunity to gain international experience.

Indicative examples of partner regions and countries include:

  • Asia – India, Vietnam, China, Thailand
  • Middle East – Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine
  • Africa – Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa
  • Western Balkans – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo
  • Eastern Partnership Countries – Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova
  • Latin America – Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina

These international partnerships provide students and staff with opportunities to participate in mobility programmes for studies, traineeships, teaching and training, strengthening academic cooperation and intercultural exchange.

Outgoing Students – Neapolis University Pafos

Students of Neapolis University Pafos have the opportunity to study or undertake a traineeship abroad through the Erasmus+ programme. Erasmus+ provides students with the possibility to gain international academic experience, develop intercultural skills and enhance their future employability.

Types of Mobility

Students can participate in Erasmus+ through the following mobility opportunities:

Student Mobility for Studies (SMS)

Students may study at a partner university abroad for:

  • one semester
  • one academic year

The courses taken abroad are fully recognised by Neapolis University Pafos through the ECTS system.

Student Mobility for Traineeships (SMP)

Students may undertake a traineeship in an organisation abroad, such as:

  • companies
  • research institutions
  • NGOs
  • public organisations
  • universities

Traineeships may take place:

  • during the study period
  • within 12 months after graduation

Duration of Mobility

Student mobility may last between:

2 – 12 months per study cycle

Each student may participate in Erasmus+ mobility for a maximum of 12 months per study cycle:

  • Bachelor
  • Master
  • PhD

Application Procedure

Students interested in participating in the Erasmus+ programme must follow the steps below:

Step 1 – Call for Applications

Students should check the Erasmus Office announcements for the call for applications.

Step 2 – Application Submission

Students must submit the following documents to the International Relations Office:

  • Erasmus Application Form
  • CV
  • Transcript of Records
  • Motivation Letter

Step 3 – Selection Process

Applications are evaluated based on:

  • academic performance
  • language proficiency
  • motivation for participation

Step 4 – Nomination

Selected students are nominated to the partner university by the Erasmus Office.

Step 5 – Learning Agreement

Students must complete the Learning Agreement, which specifies the courses or traineeship activities to be undertaken during the mobility.

Financial Support

Students participating in Erasmus+ mobility receive a financial contribution from Neapolis University Pafos through Erasmus+ funds.

The grant contributes to covering part of the costs related to:

  • living expenses
  • travel costs
  • participation in mobility activities

The Erasmus grant is a contribution to the cost of living abroad and may not cover all expenses.

Staff mobility €180 / day (up to 14 days)
From day 15 onwards 70% of the daily rate

 

Additional Funding

Students with fewer opportunities

€250 / month

Traineeship mobility

€150 / month

Final Payment

The remaining amount is paid after the student:

  • completes the mobility period
  • submits the required documents
  • completes the Erasmus participant report.

Recognition of Mobility

After the completion of the mobility period, students receive:

  • Transcript of Records (for study mobility)
  • Traineeship Certificate (for traineeships)

The mobility period is recognised through:

  • ECTS credits
  • Diploma Supplement

Required Documents After Mobility

Upon completion of the mobility, students must submit:

  • Certificate of Attendance
  • Transcript of Records or Traineeship Certificate
  • Boarding passes / travel documents
  • Participant Report (EU Survey)
