Outgoing Staff Mobility

Neapolis University Pafos offers academic and administrative staff the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ Programme through:

  • Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA)
  • Staff Mobility for Training (STT)

Participation in the programme contributes to the professional development of staff, the exchange of best practices, and the strengthening of the University’s international cooperation.

Who Can Participate

The following categories of staff are eligible to apply:

  • Faculty Members (Academic Staff)
  • Administrative Staff
  • Adjunct Faculty Members, provided that they maintain an active contractual relationship with the University during the mobility period and subject to the availability of funding.

Types of Mobility

Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA)

This action is intended for academic staff who wish to teach at a partner higher education institution abroad.

  • Minimum duration: 2 working days
  • Teaching requirement: at least 8 hours of teaching per week or for any shorter period of stay

Staff Mobility for Training (STT)

This action is open to academic and administrative staff who wish to participate in:

  • job shadowing
  • staff training weeks
  • workshops
  • other structured training activities

Selection Criteria

Participants are selected based on predefined criteria, including:

  • Relevance of the proposed mobility to the applicant’s duties
  • Expected impact on the University
  • Quality of the Mobility Agreement
  • Priority to staff who have not participated in Erasmus+ mobility during the previous two academic years
  • Contribution to the University’s internationalisation strategy

Application Procedure

Interested staff members are invited to submit:

  1. Application form
  2. Mobility Agreement for Teaching or Training
  3. Invitation letter or letter of acceptance from the host institution/organisation
  4. Any additional supporting documents requested by the Erasmus Office

Financial Support

The Erasmus+ grant consists of two components:

  1. Travel Support

The contribution calculated based on the distance between the place of departure and the destination.

  1. Individual Support (Per Diem)

A daily allowance intended to cover accommodation and subsistence expenses. The applicable amount is determined by the host country and the Erasmus+ Programme Guide in force at the time of the mobility.

Grant Payment

The grant is usually paid as follows:

  1. Travel Support (Unit Cost): Paid upon submission of proof of ticket purchase.
  2. 80% of the Individual Support: Paid at the beginning of the mobility, following submission of the signed Confirmation of Arrival from the host institution.
  3. Remaining 20%: Paid after completion of the mobility and submission of all required supporting documents.

Documents Required After Mobility

Upon completion of the mobility, participants must submit:

  • Certificate of Attendance
  • EU Survey Participant Report
  • Copies of flight tickets and boarding passes
  • Any additional supporting documents requested by the Erasmus Office

The final grant settlement is processed after all documents have been reviewed and approved.

Support Provided by the Erasmus Office

The Erasmus Office provides guidance and support:

  • before the mobility,
  • during the mobility,
  • and after the participant’s return.

Additional Information

  • Up to two additional travel days may be funded (one day before the start and one day after the end of the mobility), subject to the applicable Erasmus+ rules.
  • Original travel documents (tickets and boarding passes) must be retained and submitted to the Erasmus Office.
  • Staff mobilities are normally scheduled to start on a Monday, where possible.

Final Grant Amount

Staff mobility funding includes Travel Support and Individual Support (Per Diem). The applicable grant rates are determined annually in accordance with the Erasmus+ Programme Guide and the guidelines of the Cyprus National Agency-IDEP

The final grant amount is calculated based on:

  • the actual duration of the mobility,
  • the host country,
  • the travel distance
