Title – Cooperation between Neapolis University Pafos Psychology Department and Tel-Hai’s Educational Simulation Center

The Israeli Ministry of Regional Cooperation has awarded funding for a joint workshop involving the faculty of Neapolis University Pafos Psychology Department and Tel-Hai’s Educational Simulation Center, as well as additional staff mobility exchanges. The grant involves the exchange in expertise in three areas:

  1. The applied faculty psychologists from NUPs Psychology department visit Tel-Hai College so that they can a) be trained in the Educational Simulation Center and b) discuss/collaborate on research proposals. This training will result in aiding us NUP faculty to set up their own Simulation Center at NUP. During this visit, there will also be discussions on how NUPs equipment of Virtual Reality will be implemented in the Simulation Center as well.
  2. The Educational Simulation Center of Tel-Hai will expand and be adapted for the purpose of training in psychotherapy as well, as compared to the more educational front that is now focusing. This will expand the services provided by the NUP and provide a state-of-the-art training to their Masters and Doctoral counseling psychology trainees.
  3. Mutual Research projects based on the effectiveness of the simulation on psychotherapy training, school psychologists in the educational setting, use of the virtual reality equipment, possible use of the Eye-Tracking equipment, and research on eating disorders and trauma.
